Nice-Pak Products has been ordered to withdraw its advertisement for their product Hedrin and not make certain representations in any other advertising.
The statements that attracted a complaint and which were found to be in breach included “97% kill rate clinically proven”, a “single solution for head lice”, and that the product contains “no pesticides”. The product is itself a pesticide, and clinical studies other than one put forward by Nice-Pak show substantially lower “kill rates”. Other breaches of the advertising code and regulations were noted. (Source: http://www.tgacrp.com.au)
